Carlos Santos - 1st Place - $10,476
Carlos "The Peruvian Prince" Santos is your Event 9 Champion. It was a long, hard fought battle from noon this afternoon until 4am when the last hand was dealt.
All day Carlos played primarily good cards, was patient, and read his opponents well.
Combined, these ingredients helped him become the chip leader, reach a final table, and ultimately win the tournament.
Carlos really wanted this trophy and let out a cheer upon realizing his full house was the winner.
Look for Santos in Borgata HOSE Event and maybe in the Championship Event next week.
Carlos is originally from Peru and currently owns Action Billiards and Coffee in New Jersey.
His key hand where he caught lucky on the river and seized the chiplead at first had him in a world of hurt against three kings. But that last card changed everything giving Carlos the nut low and a straight.
His friends railed him at the end of the tournament early Monday morning.
