Sammy Elkassir (Fort Lee, NJ) has K-3 up against Alek Givotovsky's A-K of diamonds.
A-K takes down the hand forcing Sammy out of the tournament.
Elkassir will be at Borgata Hotel & Spa playing in the 2011 Spring Poker Open for the entire two weeks so we'll take this as a sneak preview of much more to come.
Although, Event 8 was his first tournament on this trip. 2nd place for $27,299 - great start!
Some key hands for Sammy included a major suck-out with his favorite hand 7-8.
Overall he said he played patient poker, waited for hands, then ran the entire table over.
