Event 12: All The Way From North Carolina

$170 + $30 Big Stack NL (2 Re-Entry)

Joshua Cranfill is here playing today because he can't play poker online any more.

Joshua Cranfill and his father Allen Cranfill

He and his father, Allen, traveled all the way from Burlington, North Carolina, to play poker here at Borgata.  Joshua usually plays poker online about five days a week, but that is no longer an option for him, thanks to the actions of our government last Friday.  "This is going to hurt a lot of people" Joshua told me.

From Joshua's blog at joshcranfill.wordpress.com:

"At 14 months old... I was diagnosed with Werdnig-Hoffman, which is a form of Spinal Muscular Atrophy and what the world knows as Muscular Dystrophy. ...doctors gave me until 18 months to live."

Joshua is now 27 years old and has graduated from college.  He's here today with about 800 other poker players playing a game that they love.
