$300 + $50 NL (1 Re-entry)
Matt Turner (Audubon, PA) has been near the top of the chip counts all day and with 115k is poised to make a run. The Swarthmore College student is taking a temporary leave from his English and music studies to focus on poker.
"My parent's are putting up half of my buy-ins," he says, "it's cheaper than tuition."
Before the on-line poker government crackdown, Turner was running well and rated in the top 1% on one site. That success and some educational indecision led him to the live games.
"I'm studying these people," he says looking around the table.
And despite what a lot of people think, Swarthmore is not an all girls school. "You wouldn't believe how many people say that," he says.
