$300 + $50 NL (1 Re-entry)
Media row is where bad beat stories go to die. Unless it was extraordinarily bad (better than, can you believe he called me with J 3 off?) or during a slow time (rarely), the bloggers listen, nod and then reply with a standard cliche like, "what are you going to do?"
99% percent of the bad beat stories we hear go unreported, but rarely does the perpetrator of the hand (the one who delivered the bad beat) stop by to gloat. But that's exactly what we got from Eric "Pools" Siegel (Melville, NY).
"I run so good early in tournaments," says Siegel while rubbing his hands and grinning like the Cheshire cat. Who wouldn't be, after cracking pocket aces with pocket kings?
Siegel says he 5 bet shove with 30k and has his opponent's 22k covered. One of the two remaining kings hits the flop and sends his victim to the rail, while Siegel uses the momentum to build his stack to 65k.
Players are on a 10 break and it's the last chance to re-enter the tournament, no word if the Siegel casualty is back in line.
