Event 5: In A Klivan Down By The River

Andrew Klivan (New York, NY) has three WSOP cashes but today represented his first PLO tournament.

On the last hand before a forty minute dinner break, Andrew picked up 2-A-A-3 and raised most of his 9,000 chips. Jeremy Schofer (Washington, DC) nonchalantly isolated all in and found himself behind holding J-4-10-A.

Board ran 6-2-7-8 and I heard Jeremy shout, I need a nine. As if on cue, the dealer peeled off the nine of hearts giving Schofer the straight and Klivan the bad news.

Andrew has earned $559 for his ninth place finish.
