I've seen lots of different card protectors in the 5+ years I've been covering poker tournaments. All manner of coins and figurines, stones and talismans, all purported to be lucky in some way. I hardly notice them any more.
But every once in a while, one will catch my eye.
Devil Duck
Meet the "Devil Duck". It belongs to Russell Green of Syosset, NY. "My 7-year-old daughter Kacey gave it to me" he says. When I asked if is was bringing him luck today, he said "until a few hands ago, it was".
Maybe we can bring the luck back to the duck.
