$300 + $50 NL (1 Re-Entry)
For some players poker is their livelihood, for others it's simply recreation, but for Randy Barr, it's a necessary distraction while serving his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
"It's something to help pass the time," says the Gunnery Sargeant, who's been with the Marines for 14 years. "You've got nothing else to do anyway."
Barr is on leave from the Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, NC and this is his first trip to Borgata. So far he's running well in this tournament as he finds a way to survive a three-way all-in with pocket queens.
"Lucky, I guess," says Barr who's Q Q hangs on against K J and 6 8, taking his stack to 17k.
Barr is on leave until May 1st and will be at Borgata "indefinitely." His next deployment will be to Afghanistan in August.
To Barr and all those who serve our nation, the players and bloggers thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!
